First, turn the temperature up higher.
Your AC should turn off.
Next, turn the temperature down again.
Your AC should turn on.
You can try this a couple times (going back-and-forth) to be sure your air conditioner is responding.
It’s normal for experience a few minutes delay after changing the setting.
If your air conditioner doesn’t respond to the thermostat, you might have a faulty thermostat.
